Project Information

A Key element of the HVAC Airside Design Package is the "Basic Project Information" form.  This should be the first Form to be completed for every project.  Project information that is inserted in this Form is automatically transferred to other Programs for use in calculations and for documenting project data.  Input Data for the Form should be based on recommendations from nationally recognized associations such as ASHRAE® and from locally adopted Codes.  (Click Image to enlarge)

Building Information & Load Calc Forms

"Extras" included with the Airside Design Package include "Building Information Request" Forms and Letters and Load Calc Takeoff Forms that assist with Load Calculations and with Duct and Equipment layout.  (Note: Actual Cooling and Heating Load Calculations are not included in these Programs)  (Click to enlarge)

Duct Sizing Calcs

Three alternatives are provided for Duct System Sizing "To Avoid Obstructions" - Individual Ducts (Enhanced Equal Friction), Complete Ductwork Systems (Enhanced Equal Friction),  Complete Ductwork Systems (Simplified Static Regain).  Each method includes calculations and ductwork sizing that incorporate the space that is available for the Ductwork installation (helps to avoid conflicts and potential Change Orders!). Fan Static Pressure Calcs

Two extensive Programs are included for Fan External Static Pressure Calculations - Supply Fan and Return/Exhaust Fan Calcs.  Both Programs include an extensive database of Ductwork Fitting Coefficients and "Generic" Equipment Pressure Drop data.  Multiple alternatives are provided for design static pressure for the ductwork, as well as for the type and arrangement of fittings and accessories.  (Click any image to enlarge)

Miscellaneous Design

Several additional Programs are included for Miscellaneous Design Tasks that may not be used on every Project.  The "Sheet Metal Weight" Program is helpful in Cost Estimating.  (Note that the "Acoustical" Programs strongly recommend that the "Results Should Be Verified By An Acoustical Consultant").  Also included is a "Freeware" Conversion Program that can be used for many typical conversions, such as English to SI Units.  (Click any image to enlarge)
